If a customer requests garment treatment which is contradictory to that indicated on the care label instructions, Battersea LDC will attempt to advise the customer of the potential risks associated with proceeding with the treatment. If Battersea LDC is unable to obtain customer approval to proceed, Battersea LDC shall refrain from cleaning the garment in question. If the customer authorises Battersea LDC to proceed, the customer assumes responsibility for any damage to the garment.

Battersea LDC accepts no liability for garments that have missing or removed care labels. Battersea LDC checks garments for damage or the potential for damage that could result from the laundering/dry-cleaning process. If Battersea LDC has any concerns regarding a garment or its condition, Battersea LDC will seek authorisation from the customer to proceed with the service or to tailor the garment before cleaning it. If Battersea LDC is unable to gain customer approval, Battersea LDC shall refrain from servicing the garment in question and return it to the customer at no charge.

Battersea LDC reserves the right to refuse service.

SAFE CLEANING GUARANTEE

The customer acknowledges, by transacting with Battersea LDC, that Battersea LDC may not be able to remove all stains safely from garments, but Battersea LDC will make every attempt to remove stains without damage to a garment. If it is Battersea LDC's professional opinion that stain removal will be unsafe, Battersea LDC will refrain from or cease stain removal efforts and will inform the customer, and will not charge for that garment.

Battersea LDC's Safe Cleaning Guarantee also allows for specific instruction by the customer with respect to the type of cleaning powder preferred for garment cleaning (ie bio or non-bio).
If a customer prefers white and dark garments to be separated before cleaning, the customer must specify this preference when requesting a service wash from Battersea LDC.
